Aurora Picture Show Digital Animation Video Salon

Location: Aurora Video Library, 1524 Sul Ross

At 12:30PM in the Aurora Video Library (1524 Sul Ross), Aurora will present a free video salon with HSPVA Media Arts instructor David Waddell.  This free artist talk is family-friendly and will explore the basics of digital animation.  Families and youth interested in learning more about creating their own films are encouraged to attend.  Each month Aurora Picture Show hosts a free educational video salon with a visiting curator and/or artist at the Aurora Video Library. Aurora is proud to generate meaningful discussions that provide context and encourage media literacy.

David Waddell is a multimedia artist working with collage, stop-motion animation, and installation.  He is currently a resident at Lawndale Art Center and the Director of Media Studies at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.He received his MFA in painting from American University and his BFA in  Art at the University of Texas at Austin.
