Through the unique collaborative effort of the Menil Community Arts Festival, Houstonians will have the opportunity to enjoy a day of free performances, films, workshops, open galleries and family art activities with some of the premier arts groups in the heart of Houston’s museum district.  In addition to  special performances, attendees are invited to see the current exhibitions from The Menil Collection, the Watercolor Art Society – Houston, and The Houston Center for Photography; as well as attend a film workshop from SWAMP and Aurora Picture Show; open houses with Aurora Picture Show and Art Colony Association; film installation by Aurora Picture Show in Richmond Hall; art sales by Art Colony Association; water media demos by Watercolor Art Society – Houston; and creative writing tours of the Menil museum with Writers in the Schools.

Snacks and refreshments will be available for sale at The Menil Collection Bookstore, and from food trucks parked around the campus. Picnics are also welcomed and encouraged.
