Southwest Alternate Media Project

The Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP) promotes the creation and appreciation of film, video, and new media as art forms of a multicultural community. Incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1977, SWAMP provides diverse artists and audiences opportunities for media arts education, creation, and literacy through our ongoing core services and programs including professional development workshops for adults, youth classes, information resources.

During the Menil Community Arts Festival, SWAMP will host an educational workshop on filmmaking in their offices, which will then screen at Richmond Hall along with short films from their PBS series, “The Territory”.
