Rothko Chapel
The Rothko Chapel, founded by John and Dominique de Menil, was dedicated in 1971 as an intimate sanctuary available to people of every belief. A tranquil meditative environment inspired by the monumental canvasses of the American painter Mark Rothko, the Chapel welcomes thousands of visitors each year, people of every faith and from all parts of the world.
Chapel Hours are from 10AM to 6PM
During the Menil Community Arts Festival, The Rothko Chapel will not only be open for its exhibition, but will also have a performance from A Language of Peace and a talk with Houston Chronicle art critic Douglas Britt. Check the schedule for details.
